Zheng Shi Units

The Zheng Shi are a ruthless Hong Kong based paramilitary force backed by Wealthy Chinese Industrial interests and Asian manufacturing companies. A struggling Zandian government full of corrupt ministries and regional representatives have allied with the highest-bidding sponsors against its weakened national parliament. An emergency election put in place a provisional government, but the United States, China and Russia withdrew from Zandia amid the ever rising tension, and the Zheng Shi forces have swept over Zandia seizing Mining Complexes, mineral assets and resource infrastructure. With a Global Market value of over USD 12 Trillion, The Zheng Shi are driven to seize, hold and retake control of the valuable resources that Zhandia has to offer.

Zhang Wei Chen, Zheng Shi Holdings Group's Chief Security Officer has issued the following order:

"This is chief security officer Zhang Wei Chen of the Zheng Shi Holdings group addressing all illegal military forces. You are advised that your presence here is violating Zandian sovereignty and international law. All mineral assets, mining facilities and resource infrastructure in Zandian territory are, by invitation and express consent of the Zandian people, under the exclusive protection of ZHG forces. Any attempt to seize these national assets by military force will be met with swift and decisive military reprisals. Continued aggression may result in overwhelming legal action. All foreign private military companies, agents, and on-licensed corporate entities are granted one week to withdraw from Zandian territory. After such time, The Zheng Shi Group will no longer be constrained by international law, and will not hesitate to use lethal force to protect sovereign Zandian interests. You have been warned."

While concrete accounts of the Zheng Shi Holding Group's 'Tiger' Command Brigade's early origins and training facilities are currently unavailable, analysis of battlefield tactics and engagement reports indicate a high level of training in asymmetric warfare, light infantry tactics, sabotage, deep cover special operations, assassination and an operational doctrine similar to that of the DPRK Reconnaissance Brigades.

Unconfirmed initial reports of a new, previously unidentified operations team began surfacing in late 2017, during early ZHG negotiations with Sharp & Meyers corporate management.

"Roughneck" Heavy Infantry
The 'Roughnecks' are a free-agent heavy infantry unit notorious for employing heavy-handed tactics against civilian populations in operations ranging from South America through Sub-Saharan Africa, their suspected use of chemical weapons and documented involvement in multiple crimes against humanity. With most of their senior leadership currently under ICC indictment, industrial analysts suspect they have reached some sort of amnesty and protection agreement with the Zheng Shi Holdings Group in return for their services.

In the words of Excellia Battlefield Systems' Senior Public Relations Officer Allan Pearce: "The Roughnecks? We have, at no point, worked alongside, or affiliated ourselves with this group in any way. They are unprofessional, dangerous, sadistic and we have documented evidence suggesting that they are guilty of pretty much every rumor you've heard. They are not private security, they are not mercenaries - I won't even call them hired killers. These guys give hired killers a bad name."

ZS-03 "Dingo"
The ZS-03 "Dingo" Light Anti-Tank Vehicle was developed by a consortium of military vehicle manufacturers, engineers from the Sharp & Meyers Industrial Group and several suspected ZHG manufacturing front companies under contract for a large Australian force and now obsolete 'Land 121' restructuring and development program.

The ZS-03 Light Anti-Tank Vehicle is equipped with the multiple-tube RCWS guide-by-wire system, with anti-personnel capability provided by a well-armed four man crew. The system features an independent 4x4 suspension system and is capable of high speed and maneuverability over varying terrain. Fire control is provided by an off-the-shelf Wolfcon Manufacturing Co. integrated all-weather targeting system, thermal imager and laser rangefinder. The system features some 60mm thick armor plating, greatly increasing the Dingo's survivability against small arms fire. Following several rounds of indirect talks, but prior to ending negotiations, the first shipment of Dingos were delivered to ZHG-owned docks in Hong Kong, China and have since seen extensive action in the Zandian Conflict.

It is worth noting, and not without irony, that Sharpe & Meyers forces now regularly face heavy opposition from forces fielding a system for which they conducted most of the primary development for.

ZS-10 "Jackal"
ZS-10 "Jackal" is a twin-engine, tandem rotor attack helicopter designed for international export by the Kireyev Aeronautical Design Bureau in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Its high speed, maneuverability and long loiter time make it a potent anti-air system. It is deployed heavily by ZHG to provide over watch for their ground operations.

ZS-10 "Jackal" attack helicopters are armed with air-to-air missile pods, side-mounted 7.62mm machine guns and 70mm rocket pods. The system relies heavily on the use of composite materials to minimize mission weight, and titanium alloy sheathing on the leading edge of each rotor blade, giving the ZS-10 high survivability at low altitudes and allowing the ZS-10 to operate in extremely close proximity to power lines, heavy foliage and other ground obstacles. The engines and fuel tank are centered along the middle of the fuselage and protected by 25 layers of high-strength composite materials capable of withstanding direct hits from shrapnel and small arms fire.

Intelligence sources indicate that ZHG has a rolling contract with the KAD Bureau and is believed to have purchased over 3,000 fully armed and operational systems, with pending orders extending throughout the next fiscal year.
