SF Offensive Units

From Plarium Games Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Offensive Units are those that perform best in attack mode, their stat loading for defense is comparably lower than defense units of a similar 'grade'.

Acquiring

Acquiring the units requires discovery of the relevant Lost Art and a building constructed for "purchasing" the relevant troop, together with adequate resources. Using Sapphires and less resources, players can also acquire "Imperial Units" with the same stats. Troops that are lost during play may be resurrected by the Healer in the Black Market with the use of sapphires.

Usage

Primary designated for attack, Infantry through to Bestiary, all are capable of defense. However, it is highly recommended that such units are not used due to them being eaker in this stance; i.e. Lost Arts aside, 100 Dragons v 100 Dragons would be a considerable loss for the defending side. Attack units may also be used for dormant spying, spamming as well as other types of tactical manoeuvres according to a players needs or style of play.

Infantry

Infantry may not be "purchased" until a Sentry House, and later a Barracks, has been built. Infantry are the fundamental units when the game commences, and in due course 'cannon fodder'; a host of other uses can be found if players are creative.

Pike
Pike are the initial attack unit at the start of playing Stormfall. They are cheap and fast to make though considerably slow and not recommended for use in long distance deployment unless tactical.

Purchased in the Baracks, Palladin are faster, stronger and have a higher carrying capacity than pike; they can be tasked with many attack gambits from farming to kiling off small basic units groups for XP, as well as more formal tactics according to a player's 'devises'

Calvery

"Purchasing" Calvery requires contsruction of the League of Riders and Order of Knights. Calvery units at the early stages of the game beocme highly rated in attack despite the extra food costs due to attack stats and carrying capacity being far superior in comparrison to infantry.

Knight
Highly profficient Knights are fast and furious when it comes to raiding. Propeeling a player further ahead in the game, a substantial number of Knights can be a valuable resource.

Occult

Occult units are "purchased" in the Council of Mages. However, wheather due to Battlegrounds or Lost Arts, when Occult units come into play in Stormfall, they become a game changer on many levels; Tactics and tenacity are des rigeur for survival and battlefield losses become somewhat harsher than decimating.

Warlock
Excluding Bestiary units, Warlock "purchasing" looks initially expensive and is in fact quite slow. however, they are very effective and loss of these units will be felt considerablely.

Bestiary

To produce these units players must first build the Hall of Shadows. Bestiary units are initially expensive and time consuming to produce, but after the initial investment of both, they can more tahjn pay for themselves.

Wyvern
The Wyvern in quite a formidable foe, with some players favoring them over Dragons on the basis of their farming speed, despite their lesser carrying capacity. Naturally, in comparrison, they are cheaper and quicker to produce.
