Command Buildings:SWOE

The Command Buildings form the center of your operations within your city. Some of the most important functions you will need are found within these buildings and their proper use will make or break you as an Archon.

  • Acropolis - This building serves two defensive functions and is thus very important in Sparta. The first which is standard across all Plarium games is that it protects all units within it from combat. Any unit inside the Acropolis will not engage in battle at all. Thus if you wish to defend you must move the units outside of the Acropolis. However, if you expect that the incoming forces are more than your troops can handle, all of your troops can safely shelter inside this building and live to fight another day. The second purpose of this building is to provide some measure of protection for your resources.
Level Resources (Timber/ Bronze/ Grain) Sketches needed:
21 41808/ 20904/ 41808 150
22 53538/ 26769/ 53538 350
23 68535/ 34268/ 68535 600
24 87732/ 43866/ 87732 1200
25 100892/ 50446/ 100892 2000
26 116026 / 58013 / 126533 3000

Upgrading this building increases the amount of resources protected from raids up to 55,000 each res. at lvl26. You have special bonuses from level 23-26 which you can see on photo.

Acropolis

Most upgrades can easily be bought with the resources protected by your current acropolis level with maybe a few extra gained from some quick raiding of the cities close to your own. Easily the quickest way to make yourself not a target for enterprising raiders is to simply level this building. It is also highly recommended that you store any troops you don't want to lose and spend down below Acropolis protection levels before exiting the game for extended periods of time.

 Acropolis
  • Agora - This is a minor Command Building who's only purpose is to accelerate the building times. This speeds up both initial builds as well as building upgrade times. It is thus far the only means of accelerating build times short of spending Drachmas on speed boosts.
 Agora

At maximum level 22 you will recieve special Bonus: +10% Exp gained in battles. To upgrade Agora you need to have all of your building at lvl20.

Agora

  • Embassy - This building serves as the hub for most Multi-Player aspects of the game apart from straight PvP. Here you will find your current Allies list, the Coalition Rankings, Your Coalition Management Tab, and Your Pantheon Management Screen.
    • Allies - Becoming allies with another player provides you similar benefits to being on their friends list without having to be friends. Additionally you may opt to see battle reports of the other players PvP engagements. You may have a maximum of 20 members and the level of your Embassy determines how many of those 20 you can have.
    • Coalitions - This tab lists all coalitions in Territory rank order. Each listing shows the Coalition's rank, influence points, territory, banner, name, capital level, member count, and diplomatic status with your coalition. Each listing also provides you the ability to access further information about that coalition, contact it's Hegemon, or request admittance to the group. If there are Academy slots open in the group you will be able to join right away. However, joining through the academy will mark your rank as scholar and may be frowned upon by that group. If you wish to join a particular group, it is far better to message their Hegemon and explain why you think you are a good fit for their group. An field is provided for you to search for a particular group. Under this tab is another sub-tab detailing Coalition news. Coalitions news details the exchange (willing or not) of Pantheons among Coalitions as well as Diplomatic Changes.
    • My Coalition - This tab allows you to either create or manage your current Coalition. The options available for managing vary based on your rank in the Coalition with the Hegemon having the greatest number of options. These options are detailed in the Coalition section of the wiki.
    • Pantheons - This tab allows you to manage your Coalitions currently held Pantheons. Again the options available depend on coalition rank as well as Orichalcum Privileges. This information is further detailed in the Pantheons section of the Wiki.
    • Building Help - This tab allows you to assist your fellow coalition members by helping them to develop their cities faster.
    • Urgent Help - This tab allows you to assist your fellow coalition members by providing them with resources and / or military support. You will find tabs: Reinforcement Requests; Attack Requests; Resource Requests and ALL
 Embassy
  • Ephorate - This tab details all articles you currently hold. You may opt to sell articles from here. Additionally you may choose to exchange them via the port (switches to Port screen). Upgrading this building reduces signing time for agreement updates. Unlike building time via the Agora, signing time can be additionally reduced via the Academy under two separate selections.Maxiumum level is lvl22 and special bonus is +10% Exp gained in battles.

for lvl21 - 39859/ 27176/ 39859 (timber/bronze/grain) +600 sketches needed or instant upgrade with 8710 drachmas.

 Ephorate

  • Oracle - This building is your primary means of engaging in PvE (Player vs Computer) engagements as well as PvP engagements through Emporia.

Maximum level of Oracle is lvl22 where you will get special bonus: +1000 city def. bonus & 50% gathering speed bonus from emporia.

    • Persian Positions - This is the main line of PvE encounters. The Oracle maintains a listing of your current Persian Positions up to a maximum of 12 Offense and 12 Defense. When you defeat one of the positions, and new position of the same time replaces the old position. If you are missing one at the highest unlocked level, you will receive one at that level, otherwise the level of the replacement will be random. The maximum level of normal positions is 175 and further detail can be found in the Strategy section of this wiki. Your currently accessible storyline missions can also be found on this tab. Additionally you may sort positions by level, distance, offense, or defense and the sort may be ascending or descending. You have 60 Persian Positions available.
    • Missions - Any Storyline Missions for Current Campaigns will be detailed on this tab. These missions require your having first completed a certain level of the normal Persian Positions before potentially unlocking them. Further you must complete at least one side of a level before you can access the next higher level. You receive both an offensive and a defensive mission for each level and the rewards for these missions are guaranteed. Generally you will need roughly a fraction more in strength of the previous reward in order to defeat the next highest mission. Thus if you won 50 Mounted Peltast on a level then you would need a little more than 50 Mounted Peltast (or the equivalent) to beat the next level. Further details are found in the Quests and Tasks section of the Wiki.

    • Emporia - On a rotational basis various emporiums providing particular resources spawn around your city. You will likewise receive a quest to either take or take and hold a specific type of emporium each week. For further details on types and production levels of the various emporiums, see the Emporia section of the wiki. Upgrading the Oracle will increase the distance Emporia can be from your city and still reported in the Oracle. Understand that these are not for casual player has they will get hit hard and often. You will either need to defend with a substantial force or you will have to play cat & mouse with another player and find out which one of you wants the Emporium more. Alternatively you may negotiate with other players to accomplish the weekly quest. You will find that most players are surprisingly agreeable to this kind of arrangement. However, nothing beats the crunch of steel as you wipe out your opponents forces in a well timed surprise attack (you get no warning when a player is marching on your Emporia). Whenever and how you engage with these is up to you, but do tread carefully or the crunch of steel may be the sound of your army's death throes.
 Oracle
  • Tholos - The only purpose of this building is to allow you to capture a second Colony. You must upgrade the building to level six before it has any effect at all.
 Tholos
  • War Council - This is arguably the most important building in the game. it is from here that you can manage your (hopefully) vast army. There are five tabs: City, Protectorates, Garrisons, Tracking, and Contacts.
    • City - This tab shows the forces at your City both outside and inside your acropolis. You may send and recall troops to and from the Acropolis here. You will also see any reinforcements presently at your city.
    • Protectorates - This tab depicts to types of locations. First it show your protectorates which are cities you have seized and are collecting resources from. You can only ever have 3 of these locations and the amount of resources generated is wholly dependent of the enemy players current development level. In the top left corner of the city listing you will see a small circle. If it's green, the player is active and you will receive more resources. If the circle is grey, they haven't logged in in a while and you will receive a penalty to collected resources. Additionally this tab lists your current colonies. In either case, protectorate or colony, the tab displays a progress bar and a button for collecting resources when the location is ready. Both types of locations have a maximum amount of storage, so be sure to collect often.
    • Garrisons - This tab shows the location of all your troops that are not either in route somewhere (see Tracking) or outside your acropolis at your city. You may recall your troops from any of the locations. Additionally if the location is a siege you may (if you don't already have 3) choose to make one a protectorate by choosing either Timber or Bronze. The rate of collection will be listed here as well allowing you to choose the best siege to make into a protectorate. You may also cancel your existing protectorates if you choose. Be warned though that there is a build up time of four hours before you can begin collecting resources from a new protectorate.
    • Tracking - This tab shows troop movements to an from your city for you, your allies, and your enemies. Yours and your allies movements will show the troops sent, your enemies will only show the arrival time. This page allows you to coordinate defenses and counter attacks. It is also one of only two means of discovering the advance of enemy troops on your city.
    • Contacts - This final tab allows you to take notes about the various cities around. You may mark the note as for spying, raid, siege, revenge, cooperation, or info. The cities listing will also allow you to contact the player, navigate to the city, send reinforcements, spy, raid, or siege the city without leaving the tab. Be warned that you are limited in the number of contacts you can maintain though this limit can be raised using GPs in the Market.
